Help & Information - Rules

Try not to be an idiot
That's @Z's golden rule. Things are pretty lenient around here: you can swear, argue, discuss porn, pretty much whatever. However, blatant stupidity isn't welcome. To give the example of porn, talking about it is one thing, but coming here for the absolute sole reason of posting it is a quick way to get kicked out. Again with arguing, that's fine but if you're only here to piss people off, chances are I'll kick you.

This is not a democracy. I'm supreme ruler and dictator, and the only ruler. Now that said, I rarely ever throw my weight around, I don't kick people for laughs or the like, I'm just saying that it's my site, my work, my money, and I make the calls. All in all, I usually like to tend to people's wishes, just reserving the right to ignore them.

We have hints of a gerontocracy system here, namely that the members who've been here longer, those who've been more loyal to my site (and to me) tend to have more influence. That's not to say they have a ticket to pick on any one they like, but it is a warning that in case of a dispute, I'm more likely to side with them.

Spoilers
All spoilers (TV shows, videogames, movies) must be within <spoiler> tags if they're posted within the following time frames
-20 hours for TV shows, going by their end time in California.
-2 days for StarCraft matches
-7 days for movies
-7 days for RPG type videogames
-2 months for super big "I see dead people" type spoilers

So for a show like Heroes TV, it's over at 10 PM Monday in CA. Until 6 PM Tuesday all discussion of it must be contained in <spoiler> tags.

For big spoilers, that won't just ruin a moment in a movie or game, but are the whole basis of it (like say Aeris dying), give it a lot of time. Using <spoiler> tags for big things like that is always a good really, but there has to be some point where their public discussion is accepted. Two months seems okay.

A few things that I don't like
Always posting in excessive shorthand or leet. It's fun to poke fun and mock people who do, but when I have to start trying to decode messages or bleeding out my eyes every time you posts it's gone too far. I just ask that you don't try to sound retarded.

Posting in a foreign (non-English) language. This is an American website, so unless you want to include an English translation, please keep German, Korean, etc out.

Don't ask to be a moderator. The answer is no.
