@Z StarLeague - Rules

The obvious rule: No map hacks or cheats. Doing so will not only get you removed from the tournament, I won't hesitate to report a friend to Blizzard.

Lagging spectators who refuse to leave will not be invited to spectate future games. Pro-tip, don't alt-tab unless you play in windowed mode.

If a player is lagging, they may ask for spectators to leave. To clarify, I refer to the "Waiting for player screen" that pauses the game. The little "Player is slowing down the game" popup will be ignored, unless the slow down in speed is actually noticeable.

Any spectators caught cheating over Ventrilo or something will be removed from the tournament. The person they were helping to cheat will possibly be removed as well.

Replays of every game are required, and will be posted afterward. If there is no replay, the game did not happen. With that said though, I will likely be spectating most (if not all) games and I use Sc2gears to auto-save all replays, so this will rarely be an issue.

In the event of a disconnect, I will usually call for that game to be replayed. Random players must still choose random in the re-game. If I feel one player absolutely positively is going to win no matter what, then I'll award them the win. If I feel it's too close to call, or I'm involved in the game, I'll put up a poll if the game should be replayed or not.
@Z StarLeague - FAQ

Why is an @Z account required?
Short-term, it's just easier for me to run this through a website rather than a forum. Long-term, I plan on additional features like tracking player statistics, who is best against what race, etc. That sort of thing requires an account. Above either of those reasons, it's simply easier and more enjoyable for me to use my site for this sort of thing.

What is BinaryBeast? Do I need to do any thing with it?
BinaryBeast is a tournament organizing tool. No, you do not need to do any thing with it. You don't need to make an account or any thing with them, I'll handle it all.

Are there prizes?
Aside from some @Z medals & achievements, I'll get the winner something from BlizzCon this year.

My friend & I share an account and both want to join.
This is allowed, but since you then couldn't play each other, one of you will be considered no-show when that time comes.

What if a patch comes out in the middle of the tournament and nerfs/buffs me?
Nothing changes. Previous games still count, future games still count.

Can I play a different race than what I signed up as?
No, sorry. You have to stick with the race you signed up with. If you accidentally choose the wrong race, the game will be remade.

I can only play after 9 PM / on the weekends / until 10.
That's perfectly fine. You are under no obligation to be on time, or to even show up. We'll simply play with who does show up, and you can join in when you're able to get on. The scheduling is very laxed. Only time it matters is if you need to leave early, so that I can try to get you in a match if you want before you leave.
